WestJet is currently seeking a Sales Training Rep, reporting to the Manager Sales Planning. You will be responsible for training both to the internal sales team and external travel agency industry.
This position will work with the sales team and functional departments to bring forward the strategic education and awareness of the company to our travel industry partners by:
·Delivering quality training sessions, virtually and in person, to small and large groups, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
·Simplifying complex ideas and vary presentation methods for different audience levels.
·Using modern instructional design techniques to design and develop training content in a variety of formats including graphics, audio, video, and animation/simulation technologies.
- Create task analyses, course plans, demo scripts, video sequences, assessments, online interaction and exercise guides for new and existing products.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the sales team, both remote and on-site.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other key stakeholders, to gather and verify relevant content for training modules.
- Manage multiple projects from start to finish; on time and within budget.
- Attend and participate in product launch presentations, FAM trips, training seminars, conferences, consumer shows as assigned.
- Maintain updated knowledge of all WestJet/WestJet Vacations, services, promotions, procedures, and technologies, as well as a general knowledge of the Travel Industry.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree.
- Travel industry experience will be considered.
Superior coaching, facilitation/presentation, excellent verbal/written and interpersonal skills
·2 years of marketing, training or sales experience required
·Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Articulate, Camtasia Studio, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Connect, HTML, XML or similar tools.
·Well organized with the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and manage stress effectively.
·Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
