Advisor, Marketing - Position summary
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing this position is responsible for the development, coordination and execution of larger scale marketing campaigns (including co-operative, route support and promotions) that support overall WestJet and WestJet Vacations marketing objectives. Acts as a planning and project lead on the Destination and Partnership team.
Major Duties
- Work with key co-operative marketing partners, including destinations, hotels, airport authorities and attractions to define joint objectives and review marketing mediums
- Develop a mutually agreed upon marketing program
- Support the mutual objectives of WestJet/WestJet Vacations and the partner
- Builds in flexibilty to ensure we can support routes of need when required
- Offset the cost of WestJet/WestJet Vacations marketing tactics
- Support Revenue targets for WestJet routes
- Coordinate execution of co-operative marketing plans
- Take a leadership role within the team to ensure the ease of execution of plans within all teams involved
- Work as team lead and subject matter expert with internal support teams including WestJet Vacations Product team, Revenue, Digital and Creative Services to ensure processes are streamlined, efficient and followed
- Work with partners to create marketing plans and execution including getting creative approval on marketing tactics (as needed)
- Responsible for tracking, forecasting and reporting for all co-op elements in WestJet and WestJet Vacations budget
- Coordinate execution of tactical and strategic promotional programs
- Ensure the objectives of WestJet and WestJet Vacations are supported and met
- Negotiate with media and promotional partners to ensure programs are mutually benefiticial
- Creation of or review/approval of contest rules and regulations (includes possible registration with Regis)
- Oversee creation and approvals of all contest creative as required, acts as a liason with internal Marketing teams
- Determine metrics of success for promotional program, evaluate and report on results
- Manage, build and maintain relationships with national media partners
Other areas of focus
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the rate card for WestJet and WestJet Vacations advertising mediums
- Lead the development and executionon of special projects as they relate to destination and partner programs
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that partnerships are supporting their team objectives
- Develop and coordinate comprehensive communication tactical and strategic plans utilizing various mediums including online/digital, print, radio, out of home and TV
- Monitor and measure success of initiatives and campaigns, discuss
- past results and make recommendations for future initiatives
