Reporting to the Manager Airport Planning & Analysis, the Manager Airport Administration will be responsible to ensure the optimization of facilities and other administrative contracts procured by the Airports.
- Allocate airport operations material, human & financial resources and policies for Air Canada to ensure safety and security of operations.
- Ensure compliance with IOSA standards, SMS and other applicable authorities. Assure the good management of airport planning.
- Conduct self-audits on a regular basis. Where audit activities have revealed vulnerabilities, ensure the identification and addressing of root cause and the implementation of corrective measures.
- Provide direction on facility optimization, change and development.
- Control and evaluate all business cases from operational management for changes and/or increases to existing real estate footprint.
- Work in close partnership with the airport safety organization.
- Provide direction and standards to firm up operational requirements of all new real estate projects.
- Review real estate projects, AFCs and invoices to guarantee facility spending is in compliance with branch budget.
- Assist branch senior management by developing and implementing facility related spending and SLA scorecards for discussion with Airport Authorities (AOC, ACC) and CRE.
- Oversee Airport Authority performance to ensure that service levels associated with airport related services are meeting Air Canada expectations.
- Provide recommendations and implementation plans to reduce other spending incurred at Airports, such as parking, cleaning services, utilities, etc.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree
- Airline operations or ground handling experience is required
- Experience working in a union/collective bargaining environment
- Experience in planning and forecasting
- Experience using reporting tools for analysis
- Experience in Project Management
- Fully knowledgeable and conversant with financial reporting tools used in financial planning and analysis
- Ability to handle pressure and competing demands
- Excellent communication skills
