Job Description

The SIAPC Supervisor assists with implementing new Customer Service initiatives; supervising Ambassadors during daily operation to maintain policies, procedures and performance standards, and providing ongoing training for all Ambassadors. She/he is responsible for developing, motivating and leading staff. The Supervisor is expected to liaise with the Concierge to escalate any and all service issues. SIAPC supervisor is responsible for all areas in SIAPC which include: FasTrack, hallway/holdroom, queuing, Transborder, ITPCF, scanning and info counters.

Specific Responsibilities & Duties:
 Training – Coordinates with Human Resources Coordinator to ensure new hires are trained according to SOPS
 Coaching – Responsible for delivery of appropriate communication to improve employee performance / attitude.
 Staff development- Responsible for drafting and conducting annual performance reviews and for participating in performance management
 Implementation of New Initiatives – Assists with the communication and training of all new service initiatives.
 Queue Management – As it pertains to the dedicated facility
 Must create and maintain a strong working relationship with the airlines, US CBP, YVR and other stakeholders who operate in US Department
 Must be able to perform all roles and duties of all contracted positions within the company including all positions within Transborder to ensure full coverage and a seamless operation during daily peak times and irregular operations.
 Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
 Must be able to carry out emergency procedures and evacuation
 Additional Duties as required

Specific Roles:
 Ensures the efficient and secure induction of passenger baggage onto baggage belts
 Oversees queuing in a variety of facilities to facilitate orderly processing of passengers
 Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the weight and imaging procedures for Transborder baggage
 Proactively identifies, instructs and provides wayfinding to connecting passengers through the In-Transit Pre Clearance Facility.
 Demonstrates the flexibility to enact contingency plans during irregular operations and perform all other duties as required. Qualifications

Qualifications:
 Minimum of 1 year experience supervising staff
 Previous experience is the Service industry, preferably with the Airport and/or an Airline
 Intermediate level of expertise with Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
 Post-Secondary degree or equivalent

 Fluent or conversational French is strongly considered an asset
