Airport Hub Manager

Bradley Air Services Limited operating as First Air, The Airline of the North, is a Canadian airline headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario.

First Air is seeking two Hub Managers to oversee operations at our Yellowknife, NWT and Iqaluit, NU locations:
  1.          Yellowknife reference number C12711,
  2.          Iqaluit reference number C12712



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
·         Manage the Hub to ensure adherence to on-time departures, optimum resource allocation and customer satisfaction
·         Build a work culture such that costs, quality assurance and customer satisfaction are key areas to drive efficiency such as manpower.
·         Coordinate the daily operational planning and implementation between Cargo/Ramp, Maintenance and Passenger Services.
·         Ensure the station operations' performance is in accordance with regulatory, company safety goals and departmental goals and objectives.
·         Monitor station performance on a daily basis against KPIs and SOPs and initiates corrective actions to improve results.
·         Manage and provide functional guidance and supervision to all Operational departments at the Station, for both internal and external.
·         Responsible for compliance with Internal Audit standards, as requested by the QA Manager.
·         Responsible for preparation of expense and revenue budgets; cost and revenue analysis and overall Hub cost structure and effectiveness.
·         Station Team Leader of the First Air Emergency Response team.
·         Participate in the Occupational Health and Safety and other committees as required.
·         Provide specialized advice to senior & line management in security functions in conjunction with the company Security Coordinator.
·         Assist and support the Company in local marketing and sales activities.
·         Responsible for managing the relationship with all stakeholders at the airport (authorities, vendors, suppliers, government agencies etc.).
·         Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Include, but are not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
·         Minimum 3 years post-secondary education.
·         Minimum 5 years of managerial experience within the airline industry and strong knowledge in all areas of airport operations, developing and implementing procedures, supervising, coaching and developing staff.
·         Superior operating knowledge of Sabre and Skyline.
·         Superior knowledge of airport operations and procedures.
·         Proficient in Windows, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
·         Excellent customer service skills.
·         Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
·         Budgeting experience required.
·         Experience managing a unionized workforce.
·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & spoken).
·         Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate.
·         Possesses a solid understanding of the business and customer environment.
·         Experience with developing and implementing procedures.
·         Able to travel regularly as required.
·         Bilingualism considered an asset.
·         Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
