Wednesday April 29th, 2015
Volunteers
Needed
What: Emergency Response Exercise
When: Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 -
All Day - 6am to 3pm
Where: YVR - Vancouver International Airport
Who: Volunteers
will be playing either passengers who have survived a simulated aircraft crash,
or their family and friends looking for information
Would you like to participate in our 600-person live full-scale
Exercise and make the experience realistic for emergency responders? We need 80 volunteers to help Police, Fire,
Ambulance, Airline pilots and crew, Hospitals, and 20 more agencies exercise
their plans and procedures to respond and save lives.
The day will start early at 6am for briefing and breakfast, and will
be over at or before 3pm. Volunteers acting as passengers must dress for
cold winter weather, as the wind & temperature out on the tarmac is always
much colder than expected. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all
volunteers.
Who do we need to Volunteer?
Age:
While we only need adult volunteers, we can accept younger volunteers 12 and
over as long as a parent accompanies them the entire time as a volunteer as
well.
Language: We need some volunteers who could speak fluently in a
language other than English, so please indicate if you do when you send in your
email to the contact below.
If you are interested in volunteering
