Pricing Analyst
First Air - Kanata, ON
Duties and Responsibilities Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Build a work culture such that maximizing revenue and minimizing costs are key to driving efficiency
  • Monitor competitor’s pricing actions and perform analysis to recommend a course of action and implement decisions. Assess and advise impact of pricing decisions and rule changes
  • Maintain First Air passenger fares and rule tariffs in house and distribute through ATPCO
  • Maintain First Air local cargo tariff
  • In conjunction with Manager develop interline joint rates and procedures with other carriers
  • File web fares
  • File contract fares for pricing in GDS and Web
  • Maintain pricing action log
  • Assist in testing and implementation of new fare/GDS products
  • Report preparation
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
  • 3 year post secondary degree in business with a concentration in marketing preferred or related work experience.
  • 2 years of experience with airline passenger pricing and tariffs.
  • Solid working experience with SABRE and other GDS (Apollo, Worldspan etc.) systems preferred
  • Must have advanced computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Experience with ATPCO (Airline Tariff Publishing Company) distribution and software preferred
  • Previous experience with cargo rates and rules essential
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and problem solve independently
  • Must have excellent interpersonal & communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated innovative approach to research and development
  • Previous experience dealing with confidential information
  • Previous experience with needs analysis
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Accounting experience an asset
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada
