Compliance Officer
G4S - Vancouver, BC
We are presently recruiting for a Compliance Officer (Vancouver International Airport) 

Reporting to the Support Services Manager, the Compliance Officer, will p rovide independent data on operational compliance for all airports in the Pacific Region. The Compliance Officer will ensure G4S Aviation is on-track and continues to meet contractual obligations and regulatory thresholds related to operations and operational objectives.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, but not limited to:
Conduct audits, both on a regular planned basis and on an ad-hoc basis, to confirm compliance and/or to identify issues to be addressed
•Be the primary support for management, employees, internal and external brokers on all compliance issues
•Develop and provide regular training on compliance to all stakeholders. This includes presentations both inside the office and at external locations
•Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and adjust them as required to achieve appropriate knowledge throughout the organization
•Develop and provide regular reports to management that include updates on potential compliance changes, current compliance issues and results of compliance audits
•Responsible for writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Quality Investigations, and associated documents
•Maintain a tracking system for all procedures
•Undertake small projects and perform all other job related duties as directed by Management
•Contribute meaningfully to compliance and process improvement initiatives
•Review all procedures, processes and training to ensure that they identify all compliance issues
•Identify opportunities for improvements to reduce risk of non-compliance
•Other Support Services duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelors/Associates degree in Business, Accounting, Database Administration, Operations Management with 3 to 5 years of related work experience
•Work experience in security and airport operations desired
•Work experience in accounting and auditing considered an asset
•Advanced Excel skills, Intimately familiar with computers and mobile devices
•Excellent track record in client-facing roles and strong communication skills
•Drives excellent performance; meets objectives and deadlines, and ability to multitask
•Demonstrates an active interest in promoting safety consciousness in the workplace
•Able to follow complex instructions and complete them with little to no supervision
•Acts with professionalism and integrity
•Able to work and to travel within BC and the Yukon on short notice
•Able to obtain Federal Secret Clearance
