Provincial Airlines is currently seeking a Cargo Manager to join our team in St. John’s, NL . The Cargo Manager will be responsible for continually growing cargo business for Provincial Airlines throughout our entire network while maintaining our high level of customer service standards and overseeing all facets of our cargo operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and supervising staff, as well as ensuring all Transport Canada Regulations are maintained. Responsibilities : Effectively plan and implement methods and procedures to ensure that all operational requirements are met Lead sales efforts to ensure continual growth of cargo department Provide effective account management to current client base Implement, maintain and supervise all safety/security/compliance measures related to people, equipment and facilities within the operation Make sure all paperwork related to cargo operations is accurate Ensure proper handling and delivery of cargo Maintain safe operation of warehouse, vehicles and equipment Scheduling, monitoring and evaluating all departmental staff Monitoring and measurement of operational objectives Up to date monitoring of industry regulations and trends Qualifications : 5+ years’ experience in similar role Proven leadership skills Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Time management skills Organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team 3-5 years’ management experience, with strong a focus on procedural compliance, safety practices and continuous improvement processes Must be proficient in MS Office Applications Qualified individuals for this position should send their resumes to the Human Resources Department referencing “ Cargo Manager ”.
