GardaWorld is currently hiring a General Manager for Toronto International Airport (YYZ) Job benefits include: * Competitive wage * Medical benefits * A dynamic environment Job description (Responsibilities include but not limited to): Reporting to the Regional Director, the General Manager will be responsible for the following: * Lead teams responsible for Operations, Resource Planning and Training Deployment (Operations and administrative = many managers / and many employees) * Scheduling and Staffing * Deployment and scheduling of regulated training * Responsible to liaise with customer in all operational aspects. * Communicate customer’s corporate culture and organizational values for the region to all unionized and non-unionized personnel. * Work with Regional Quality Manager to initiate performance improvement plans. * Develop business strategies, oversee budget, set goals based on the company's and customer’s plans and expectations. * Detailed knowledge of collective agreement interpretation and application. Ability to provide managers with problem solving skills and guidance on unions matters up to and including grievances. * Ability to problem solve, take initiative and be self-motivated while maintaining high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, timeliness and confidentiality. * Manage all activities related to total business achievement: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Morale. Job requirements: * Must be a Canadian Citizen; * 5 years of operations management experience; * 3 years of management in a unionized workplace; * Understanding of resource planning and project management; * Bilingualism is an asset and will be given primary consideration (French/English) * A university degree or college diploma in a related field is an asset * Willing to submit to a full background/credit check Personal Skills: * Leadership ability, teamwork skills * Work independently without direct supervision , problem-solving and conflict management * Understanding of how to develop and implement business strategies * Ability to develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the customer * Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables Interested?
