Marketing & Tenant Relations Representative - Commercial Services Department

The Vancouver Airport Authority has a permanent full-time opportunity for a Marketing & Tenant Relations Representative in the Commercial Services Department. Reporting to the Manager, Sales & Services, the successful candidate will develop, manage and implement all aspects of the YVR Concession & Parking marketing programs. This role also includes tenant relations support for the Vancouver Airport Authority’s advertising concession operator. Key responsibilities include: Developing marketing strategies and tactics that will increase YVR concession and parking sales, increase Vancouver Airport Authority revenue and improve concession customer service levels Developing and executing an annual marketing plan, promotional calendar and budget Overseeing all marketing executions for YVR’s concession and parking programs including communication with concession partners, concession signage, creative development, media buying, sponsorship opportunities, contract negotiations and budgets Ensuring all initiatives are aligned with Vancouver Airport Authority corporate objectives Managing client relations with all concessions and external business partners Overseeing YVR’s concession mystery shop programs including rewards and recognition Managing Promotional Steering Committee and facilitating meetings Managing all concession special events and promotions including event briefings, event logistics, day of activations, sales tracking and debriefings Tenant relations support for the advertising concession program including overseeing day to day operational issues, construction support, creative reviews, and communicating with internal stakeholders Evaluating proponent submissions in the RFP process and other property management functions Key qualifications include: Completion of a degree or diploma with a focus on marketing, communications or business administration Minimum 5 years’ marketing experience, preferably in a multi-unit retail environment Demonstrated experience with special event management Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong negotiation, tenant relations, public speaking and public relations skills Experience with meeting facilitation and/or committee management Solid problem solving, analytical and financial reporting skills Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment Experience working with advertising agencies Some evening and weekend work may be required This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external candidates.
