Station Supervisor – Vancouver (YVR)
Air France KLM is currently looking for a Station Supervisor for the Vancouver Airport. This is a permanent full-time position.
Reporting to the Regional Station Manager for Western Canada, the Station Supervisor is responsible for the safety, security, customer satisfaction, aircraft handling and crew processes in his/her station for AF/KLM during his/her shift. He/she will keep track of the quality levels and the targets agreed upon. He/she coordinates activities at his/her station as agreed by the Station Management. The Station Supervisor will handle all station responsibilities in the framework of “CEP/Duty Manager”. In line with company policy and procedures, the Station Supervisor manages the team of agents (Air France/KLM staff or third parties), performs administrative activities as needed that support the actual handling of flights.

MAIN ACTIVITIES :
-Optimize handling processes
Steers and supervises all handling activities via the handling agent to ensure a timely, safe and efficient flight handling process.
-Deliver excellent passenger service
Responsible for all services related to passenger handling activities, quality and customer satisfaction. In line with company guidelines ensures compliance with “service standards," "signatures of service" and guarantees customer satisfaction is exceeded through coaching of the staff, developing their skills and performing periodic performance appraisals.
-Support flight and ground operations processes
Perform all supporting activities to ensure an efficient handling of flights and, where applicable, third parties. The position is responsible for the day to day supervision of the Ramp/Operations activities, with the leadership objective to maintain a well-trained and professional team within the scope of Aircraft Turnaround, Aircraft Loading, Crew Activities, Flight Operations, and OPS1 Quality Assurance. To supervise and delegate duties to the team and monitor safety and security compliance.
-Special Services
To deliver dedicated services to specific high valued customers such as VIPs, official personalities and official flights. His/her main purpose is to deliver a personalized service that corresponds to the image of the company/ brand.
REQUIREMENTS :
  • College degree with relevant experience (Bachelor’s degree an asset);
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant station experience;
  • Supervisory experience managing a team and leadership qualities;
  • Strong communication skills; oral and written (English essential and French an asset);
  • Proven ability to maintain professional composure in all circumstances;
  • Thorough knowledge of the passenger handling process, aircraft handling process including cargo & technical process;
  • Knowledge of airport infrastructure;
  • Demonstrated ability for stress tolerance;
  • Customer focus;
  • Team work;
  • Proven safety awareness;
  • Flexibility and adaptability are a must;
