Senior Representative, Partnerships

Reporting to the Manager, Partnerships, this position is responsible for managing and growing relationships with new and continuing major partners which includes the implementation of new initiatives and development of partnership opportunities to strengthen and enrich the partners’ relationship and commitment with Toronto Pearson. This position is also responsible for implementing the Partnership Program and Reporting requirements developed by his/her supervisor including conducting site reviews, Airport Tours and monthly reporting and consulting with internal stakeholders and partner(s). 

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:
Establishes processes and methodology to ensure partnership benefit(s) reporting is delivered consistently; Works with cross functional teams to acquire and interpret benefit data and uptake within Airport.

Responsible for working with partners to execute partnership programs and activities jointly developed by the GTAA and partner(s).

Manages the internal day-to-day activity related to the partnership agreement and executes processes/protocols for key internal stakeholders

Works with the Manager, Partnerships to execute onboarding programming for new partners, progress reviews and strategy development for current partners and renewing partners.

Develops a strong understanding of the partners’ business objectives to ensure that they are being met.

Create and develop creative programming concepts to be executed at the Airport that can increase partner engagement.

Identifies trends and researches new revenue generating opportunities for management review and Conducts airport peer research including identifying and assessing the latest innovations for advertising;

Identifies and explores creative and innovative new products and services to enhance guest service; develops and prepares detailed discussion papers and business cases;

Reviews regularly partner activities across communication channels to identify/understand partner objectives outside of the airport and possible airport alignment opportunities.

Collaborates with GTAA stakeholders to provide high quality service to our partners; Facilitates and implements all partner requirements (activity notices, shutdowns, marketing program-efforts) to ensure programs are successfully rolled out;

Develops the tools and documents for monitoring compliance and works with the Commercial Agreement Administration to ensure partner performance is monitored

Monitors compliance and reviews performance reports; identifies systemic issues requiring of a course of action to address and correct non-compliance with the tenants;

Identifies opportunities for policy changes/enhancements, research industry best practices in advertising industry (both airport and non-airport) as well as related fields;

Responsible for ensuring Tenant compliance with federal and provincial requirements including the MTO, rules and regulations including CBSA, USCBP, and NAV Canada;

Participates in the negotiation of agreements; prepares information and presentation requirements to support these activities;.

Identifies opportunities for policy changes/enhancements, research industry best practices in advertising industry (both airport and non-airport) as well as related fields such as sponsorships, partnerships and airport service programs;

Responsible for ensuring Tenant compliance with federal and provincial requirements including the MTO, rules and regulations including CBSA, USCBP, and NAV Canada;

Prepares and presents revenue forecasts, budgets and monthly variance analysis reports for use by the Manager, Partnerships. This includes preparing detailed analysis of paid partnership benefits based on past and projected performance, identifying trends in airport behaviour and noting operational changes at the airport.

Performs other duties such as special projects, assignments and reviews requiring the incumbent’s unique skills and experience. Sits on GTAA committees as required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Post-secondary degree in either Business, Marketing, Advertising, Sales or Sponsorships and/or a combination of education and work experience

Must possess a minimum 5 years’ experience in event management, experiential marketing, sponsorship marketing, or marketing programs

Experience in executing events or experiential marketing programs in a venue environment (e.g. stadiums, convention centres, malls) will be considered an asset.

Must possess a valid Provincial Ontario Driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders

Ability to work independently and within a team environment with minimal supervision

Possess strong relationship management and communication skills and have the ability to handle conflict situations with tact and diplomacy

Skilled in developing work plans that deliver on program objectives

Knowledge of customer-account service/relationship management

Must possess strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of negotiation strategies, advertising or sponsorship program planning or implementation

Ability to interpret contracts; including terms and conditions and ensuring tenant/partner compliance

Ability to deal with regulatory or legislative stakeholders and their requirements

Ability to multi task, analyze revenue information and data, develop programs, trouble shoot, resolve issues, be proactive, as well as being flexible and adaptable to change in a fast paced environment

Must possess strong computer skills, with the ability to utilize MS Office effectively

Ability to analyze revenue info and data, develop programs, negotiate contracts and anticipate issues

Early adopter of trends; familiarity with, or demonstrated interested in marketing, shopper marketing and sponsorship marketing is preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of the sponsorship environment in Canada and the key sponsors, companies and venues leading the way nationally

Demonstrated knowledge of digital and technology trends driving consumer behavior, including, but not limited to: social media, content streaming, mobile devices, mobile payment, online shopping

Knowledge of airport operations advertising sales/management and development at the airport will be considered an asset

Knowledge of airport industry, GTAA policies and procedures relating to advertising & partnerships will be considered an asset
