Position Overview:
The International Flight Dispatcher joins a team of eight dispatchers, and is responsible to the Director of Flight Operations for exercising operational control over company flights operated under the Type A OCS and providing support to the flight crews.
Responsibilities:
• Preparation of Flight Packages
• Provide route/weather analysis
• Generate flight plans and file with appropriate ATC
• Provide flight crews with a thorough weather and flight briefing
• Communicate with stations and other internal departments as required in regards to flight operations
Requirements:
• Transport Canada licensed dispatcher
• Minimum 2 years experience in an Aviation Dispatch environment
• International Dispatch experience is considered an asset
• Excellent computer skills with a proficiency in Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong detail orientation
• Ability to handle stress in a fast paced environment
• Motivated and an effective team contributor
