Reports To: Director, Airports & Cargo Operations - West Competition No: 35-AP2015 Responsibilities:

 Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety;
 Provide leadership and overall management to the local Customer Service and Ramp Services departments, ensuring a focus is on the highest levels of customer service;
 Implement and monitor all Customer Service and Ramp Services standards and procedures, including service quality and reliability processes;
 Monitor initiatives designed to ensure all Customer Service Agents and Ramp Attendants are capable ambassadors of Canadian North Inc.;

 Deliver Company strategic business objectives;
 Ensure all Customer Service Agents and Ramp Attendants have the knowledge, attitude, and excellent customer service skills necessary for success, while challenging employees to continuously improve on service delivery;
 Ensure all Customer Service Agents and Ramp Attendants are fully briefed and compliant with Transport Canada Regulations and all related training;
 Maintain excellent knowledge of Canadian North’s Safety Management System, and subsequently investigate and respond to all reports of incidents and accidents;
 Ensure a clean, safe, unobstructed work area is maintained as per the Company Occupational Health and Safety Program, and continuously practice proper safety habits;
 Assist the Director, Airports & Cargo Operations - West, with the planning of staffing levels and recruitment of Customer Service Agents and Ramp Attendants at the Yellowknife base;
 Promote good customer and supplier relations and positive public relations within the business and airport communities;
 Assist in response to customer comments relating to airport issues in a timely and appropriate manner;
 Assist the Director, Airports & Cargo Operations - West, with preparation of the departmental budget as it pertains to airport operations at the Yellowknife base and with the development of profitability improvement initiatives while contributing to overall corporate objectives;
 Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
 Minimum one year of operational experience in an airport environment;
 Previous experience in a supervisor or managerial role is a definite asset;
 Strong ability to determine performance goals and ability to hold others accountable;
 Demonstrate high degree of emotional maturity and ability to operate under stressful situations;  Ability to work flexible hours;
 Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills;
 Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills;
 Ability to work in a team environment;

 Knowledge of WHIMIS and Dangerous Goods Transportation guidelines and procedures considered an asset;
 A strong background in PC skills;
