The Role

Reporting to the Administrative Assistant, Community and Stakeholder Relations, the overall responsibility of this position is to project a great first impression of The Calgary Airport Authority through a high level of professionalism and excellent customer service.  The position is responsible for the following primary duties:

• Greeting and transferring incoming calls/directing customers and visitors to the appropriate party in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Working as a first point of contact to provide information and answer inquiries from the general public.
• Processing and delivering all incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages
• Reconciling all courier invoices.
• Continuously providing and updating the information necessary to update the Airport Authority telephone directory.
• Ensuring the oversight of meeting rooms which includes booking rooms and ensuring rooms are setup to customers’ needs
• Assisting with various additional administrative duties for the Communications and Stakeholder Relations team. This may include data entry, stationary ordering, maintaining calendars, and other projects or tasks as required.

Basic Requirements

• Previous experience operating a switchboard or working in a busy reception environment.
• A passion for providing excellent customer service backed by strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
• Well organized and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
• Demonstrated ability to function well under pressure.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office.
