Duties: Reporting to the Traffic Operations Engineer, the Traffic Signals and Airports Navigational Aids Manager plays two key roles within the Traffic Engineering Branch of Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation: : The incumbent is the Department’s Senior Electrical Technician. In this role he/she is required to act as the technical authority for the installation, operation, and safety of all electrical devices related to Traffic and Airport operations. The incumbent manages the Department’s Traffic Signals program and Airports Navigational Aids personnel. In this role he/she will provide leadership and supervision to skilled technologists, technicians, and electricians while ensuring the on-going maintenance of the Department’s Traffic Signal assets. The incumbent is also responsible for delivering the Department’s annual Traffic Signal construction program. Candidates who do not meet all essential criteria may be considered on an underfill basis at a commensurate rate of pay.
