Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities:
- Promote company values, vision and mission.
- Establish and maintain a Flight Operations Quality Assurance program.
- Provide guidance to the Flight Operations Quality Assurance Department.
- Complete internal and external audits as required by the Flight Operations yearly Audit Plan in accordance with the Company's Audit processes and checklists.
- Prepare check lists and other audit related documentation.
- Collect, verify and record audit evidence.
- Ensure corrective action plans relating to all audit findings are developed and implemented according to critical time lines.
- Complete follow-up audits to ensure the effectiveness of corrective action plans.
- Liaise with external auditors, completion of their checklists, and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with external auditor's Flight Operations finding(s).
- Report accidents, incidents, or safety hazards through the SMS system, perform safety investigations as deemed necessary by the Operations Manager.
- Liaise with the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Liaise with other Regional 1 audit teams.
- Perform Quality Assurance responsibilities under the SMS system.
- Oversee the FDM program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations, Company Operations Manual and Safety Management System (SMS)
- . Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Possesses a solid understanding of the business and customer environment.
- Proficient MS Office skills required, experience with other airline specific computer programs considered an asset.
- Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 or more years of Post-Secondary education in a related discipline of aircraft flight operations.
- Minimum of 3 or more years of experience working in Flight Operations
- . Current or previous pilot experience would be an asset. Previous experience in an auditing or training role would be an asset.
- Approved Check Pilot status would be an asset.
- Experience in fuel auditing and de-icing would be an asset.
