Flight Operations Specialist, YUL

REPORTS TO: Director, Flight Operations

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Supports the onboarding of new aircraft including the building of the file in order to add the aircraft to the Air Operating Certificate (AOC), Private Operator Registration (POR) & Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) operating certificate
•Contributes to the maintenance of the Company Operations Manual (COM) and maintains manuals covering flight operations, aircraft operations, flight training and flight following;
•Supports the Flight Operations Quality Assurance program and maintains the company operations library;
•Support the company’s Emergency Response Plan including the planning and execution of practice drills;
•Monitors regulatory changes and information from Transport Canada, working alongside the Director Flight Operations to determine approach to addressing any changes;
•Conducts research and gathers information to support Flight Operations projects and continuous improvement efforts;
•Develops and distributes communication materials to keep Pilots, clients, Skyservice employees and other affected groups up-to-date on regulatory changes and requirements as well as company policies;
•Supports the, Chief Pilots to issue directives, notices, and operations bulletins concerning aircraft operations;
•Acts as FOS (Rockwell Collins) support to users;
•Other duties, asassigned by the Director.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Flight Operations, Operations Control or other aviation management function;
•Strong knowledge of Transport Canada and other aviation regulations;
•Knowledge of FOS (Flight Operations System) is preferable, but not required;
•Excellent MS Office skills;
•Highly organized and very detail oriented;
•Excellent communication (written and oral), analytical, research and problem solving skills;
•Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task;
•Fully bilingual (French and English).

EDUCATION:
Post-secondary education in aviation management
