An opportunity is available for a Team Lead in our Baggage Operations Centre (BOC) at theWinnipeg Richardson International Airport, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Reporting to the Contract Manager you will be responsible for the quality control, system monitoring of the baggage handling systems. You will ensure the system is functioning efficiently and capable of handling the peak level of demand.
This individual will demonstrate a high level of professionalism and support the Bouygues Core Values. They will support and lead a team of Baggage agent professionals that will provide safe and reliable services to our client, internal and internal customers along with our airport stakeholders. They will play a vital role in performing baggage operations agent duties, resource allocation, and daily inspection of the baggage system, carry out policies, coaching and training their team while achieving corporate objectives. The Team Lead must have a strong understanding of contingency process management. Our professionals serving as a Team Lead will be skilled professionals that will exhibit a positive persona inside and outside work.
Key Responsibilities: Perform daily inspections of the Baggage system hardware. Observe, record, troubleshoot the baggage system during an irregular operation. Ensure proper completion of daily activity/shift reports, incident/occurrence reports and all required documentation. Assist in delivering job training, safety attitudes and enforce safe work methods. Coordinate with onsite and offsite maintenance providers. Develop a close liaison with the Airport Duty Manager. As a Team Lead and professional you will encourage and motivate Baggage Operation Agents ensuring they provide a high quality service to meet the client’s needs as contained in the contract. Perform audits and quality control inspections to ensure that the team is meeting their corporate and safety objections.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. Must possess a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license. Minimum 1-2 years, of customer service experience and airline/airport operations. You must be able to lift heavy baggage unassisted and possess excellent multi-tasking skills, able to cope and manage highly volatile situations. Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Must be able to multi-task and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. You must be able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance.
