Career Opportunity Charter Operations Manager
Canadian North - Edmonton, AB
Reports To: Senior Director Charters Posting: Internal & External Competition No: 69-CO2015

General: The Charter Ops Manager, Edmonton is responsible to:
 Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety
 Provide leadership and overall management to Executive Flight Center (EFC) contract
 Ensure all aspects of the charter flight program meet or exceeded customer service levels
 Develop, implement and monitor initiatives to ensure EFC employees are exceptional ambassadors of Canadian North
 Regularly review client processes and ensure EFC possess the knowledge, understanding and execution of the processes

 Ensure EFC is educated and compliant with all Transport Canada regulations
 Coordinate all flying requirements with Manager, Crew Control, OCC and North Cariboo Air
 Oversee EFC for Remote Flight close-out and check-in Edmonton departures to ensure accuracy and timeliness of the operation
 Liaise with Charter Support Manager regarding operational concerns/efficiencies
 Liaise and work closely with EFC and Charter Support Manager on operational and recovery plans for Irregular Operations
 Liaise with Airport Authorities and EFC to ensure all are informed regarding upcoming charter operations  Work closely with Airport Managers to ensure regular flow of information in order to
maintain a seamless operation from all sites and down line to all stations
 Attend meetings as required  Work closely with Aerodrome Manager Site to provide information and required feedback to ensure a constant flow of information to best utilize equipment and manpower for both parties
 Coordinate ground handling with all contractors
 Coordinate with Transport Canada and other applicable government agencies to ensure regulatory requirements are fulfilled  Other duties as assigned and/or department specific

Qualifications:

 Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
 High Proficiency in SABRE is mandatory
 Knowledge of operating procedures and policies of Canadian North and North Cariboo Air is
considered an asset
 FBO Experience is considered an asset
 Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication
 Exceptional time management skills
 Demonstrate high degree of emotional maturity and ability to operate under stressful situations
