Location: CALGARY, AB 

POSITION OVERVIEW 
The YYC-Airport Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the first and last experience for all CMH guests arriving and departing from Calgary International Airport. This position calls for the full attention of the individual to punctually launch all of the CMH transportation for all CMH guests from the hotel lobby of the Delta Calgary Airport Hotel (Calgary Airport). This coordinator will oversee the programs that make up the arrival and departure of all CMH guests in an efficient, highly organized manner with the focus on punctuality, great guest service and professionalism. This position runs from early December to mid-April.

The YYC-Airport Transportation Coordinator’s role requires someone to keep a keen eye on the arrival and departure experiences while being attentive to the needs and requests of our valued guests. The position calls for a person that will always have plan “B” ready to go and enjoys a demanding work environment and on the spot problem solving.

With a strong understanding of guest expectations balanced with great communication and active listening skills, the YYC-Airport Transportation Coordinator will be the go-to person for all Calgary based pre and post trip details.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

Administrative
  • Exercise great communication and have a developed relationship with the Transportation Manager, all CMH area management teams and all Delta Calgary Airport Hotel departments
  • Develop an open, welcoming and interactive team atmosphere at the Delta Calgary Airport Hotel that creates a reliable resource for our guests at the start and finish of their trip
  • Lead by example and comply will all CMH policies and standards
Planning
  • Oversee and coordinate all exchange day transfers departing & arriving at the Delta Calgary Airport Hotel
  • Develop an on-going relationship with all supplier and their involvement at the Delta Calgary Airport Hotel
  • Provide positive & constructive feedback on all suppliers with regard to all CMH service expectations
  • Stay connected to all transportation for all Regular, Early and Special transport booked
  • Coordinate all components of the on-coach Food & Beverage program
  • Arrange all deliveries of the Waiver Pouch successfully from the Delta Calgary Airport Hotel to the OPS Coordinator
  • Deliver a comprehensive “first & last impression” plan for all arrivals/departures
  • Oversee and manage all late/lost guest luggage; develop and log a delivery plan & tracking system with assistance from the Transportation office in Banff
  • Participate in the CMH Second Nature Program to achieve sustainability goals
  • Show good accounting for all monies that circulate in the hotel environment (petty cash, operational floats and credit card spending)

Organizational
  • Waiver collection including all arriving CMH guests that overnight
  • Manage all necessary reporting procedures to obtain the needed information relating to guest arrival, pre-trip, departure and post-trip
  • Weekly stock management of office supplies, CMH brand forms, luggage tags and regular routine supplies

Guest Service
  • Participate in the CMH guest experience and strive to exceed guest satisfaction
  • Follow through promptly on all Staff, Supplier and Guest concerns
  • Follow up on guest inquiries within 24 hours

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

Education 
  • Degree or diploma in the area of business admin, hospitality, travel or tourism
  • a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry

SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS 

Skills and Abilities 
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player
  • Genuinely interested in people, their travel needs and a fine attention to detail
  • Continually looks for ways to improve guest service & satisfaction
  • Solid communication, team building, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong background operating Microsoft Office & Outlook
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and help out on the front-line
  • Big energy with a passion for skiing, hiking and the mountains and a strong appreciation for the CMH culture and legacy
