Charter Sales Coordinator

Summary
The Charter Sales Coordinator will be responsible to reach out to new customers in Central and Northern Canada in search of new business. They will capitalize on potential charter opportunities by monitoring all tendering services and attending trade show and conferences.They will work closely with the Manager Corporate Charters to gather client feedback and improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.The Charter Sales Coordinator will analyze trips lost to other carriers to determine areas we can improve on to become more competitive. They will also gather information and details on destinations we frequent and compile an in-house reference document to be available to the Charter Leads, SOCC centre and flight crews. The Charter Sales Coordinator will also assist the Charter Leads with charter quotes, incoming calls and charter passenger check-ins, and be able to cover that position, as required.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Reach out to new customers across Central and Northern Canada in search of new charter business
  • Contact current customers to gain feedback from all aspects of charter flights * Monitor all public and private tender services for potential opportunities * Assist the Manager Corporate Charters with RFP information gathering and bid submissions
  • Compile detailed information on destinations we frequent and compile an in-house reference guide to be available for Charter Leads, SOCC centre and flight crews
  • Assist the Charter Leads with charter quotes, incoming calls, and passenger check-ins; be able to cover that position, as required
  • Maintain charter files for current and future customers * Assist with month-end accounting tasks specific to the department
  • Complete updates and monitoring of credit card log, invoice tracking, and other charter expenses
  • Report passenger numbers to various airport authorities
  • Provide assistance to flight crew and ground operations to ensure smooth operation
  • Demonstrate a cooperative and positive attitude while working on all job tasks and provide assistance to others when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum grade 12 diploma or the equivalent required
  • Post-secondary education (degree and/or diploma) in Aviation or Sales and Marketing preferred
  • Sufficient knowledge of the Aviation industry in terms of regulations, weather, and ability to provide rough calculations of trips (distances, payloads, passenger limits, etc.)
  • Experience with Skyline computer system considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of Charter operations including Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
  • Exhibit initiative, responsibility and flexibility, with demonstrated interpersonal skills allowing one to adapt to a fast paced working environment
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Computer skills essential (Word, Excel, Power/Point, Outlook, Internet Explorer etc.)
  • Must hold a valid class 5 driver’s license
  • Able to qualify for Winnipeg Airport Authority Ramp Pass (WAA) ramp pass
  • Aboriginal Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training
