We understand the frustration of newly licensed pilots, looking for their first commercial flying experience in their aviation career. Each year, we will invite students and new graduates from Aviation Program to join Skydive Toronto. We conduct a Parapilot course to train inexperienced commercial pilots on the procedures of dropping parachutists. For 2016, the Parapilot Course is scheduled for May 16 to 19th. The 4 evening ground school is followed by a 3-5 hours checkout on a Cessna 182. Participates who do well in the course are invited to join the pilots team.
Included with the email is the description of the opening. With several seasons of jump piloting on the Cessna 182, the pilot can move on to the Caravan. Typically, Cessna 182 pilots will accumulation 100+ PIC hours in one season, occasionally some pilots fly up to 400 hours. Many of our pilots have moved on to corporate flying or to the airlines.
We will have information session in April 23rd at 12:00pm in Cookstown Airport (CCT2), for pilots/students interested for joining Skydive Toronto Inc. Operations Manager / Owner, Joe Chow, will be describing the Parapilot Course and other pilots will be on hand to answer any questions.
Please communicate to your students or new graduates in your Aviation Program this opportunity to gain flying time and aviation experience. Also, attach with this email is a poster about the Parapilot Course, that may be used for promotion. Pilots who wish to participate may email their resume to pilots@skydivetoronto.com They are also welcome to visit our facilities at the Cookstown Airport. For more information, please feel free to contact Leslie Ng at 705-458-9339 or pilots@skydivetoronto.com
