Private Air is currently recruiting a full-time Flight Dispatcher

Job Description:

We need a particularly awesome dispatcher to join our growing operation, and to add to the team. The position is a full-time one. We are open to the possibility of the position being filled remotely, ie you don't live in Toronto, but you do have fast internet and a cel phone. We will provide the generous phone allowance, sweet laptop and scanner/printer thingy. 

Some of the many things we are looking for are:

• Self-starter and works well under pressure.
• Aviation background an asset, but not a pilot looking for a flying position.
• Knowledge of aviation weather & flight planning an asset.
• You may be required to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Self-directed and be able to make critical decisions, sometimes with limited information.
• Arrange all aspects of charter flight bookings including aircraft, flight crews, catering, U.S. and Foreign Customs, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, other services
• Utilize current dispatch program and quoting system to provide information to clients and to book and confirm flights
• Prepare and provide aircraft quotes to existing and potential clients
• Obtain and maintain passenger information for all flights
• Re-arrange flights as required for normal and irregular operations
• Deal effectively in a fast past, time critical environment, ensuring professionalism at all times.
• Responsible for organizing, coordinating and the dispatching of aircraft and flight watching of all flights along with completing other duties as assigned.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
• Exceptional logistical, organizational, communication and time management skills.
• Must possess proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Computer & typing skills a must.
• New Technology skills a must, example IPhone, Blackberry, I pad, Laptop
• Previous experience as a Dispatcher would be an asset.
