New Posting - Pacific Coastal Airlines

Pacific Coastal Airlines is currently looking for a permanent full time Flight  Attendant Manager. This position is based out of the Pacific Coastal Airlines head office in the South Terminal building at the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond.


The Flight Attendant Manager reports to the Operations Manager and is a key member of the Flight Operations department. The Flight Attendant Manager ensures the company is in compliance with all Transport Canada regulations regarding in-cabin safety. Key responsibilities for this position include managing, training, recruiting and scheduling Flight Attendants, ensuring that all aircraft cabins are in physical compliance with safety regulations, and ensuring all Flight Attendant manuals are current and in compliance with applicable regulations.
The ideal candidate has recent experience as a Flight Attendant Manager or has previous supervisory experience paired with strong technical knowledge of Transport Canada regulations. Excellent leadership and management skills are required as well as strong communication skills in order to represent the company in a competent and professional manner when liaising with Transport Canada.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the safety of passengers, the public, and employees at all times
  • Ensure all Flight Attendants perform in accordance with established procedures and quality control standards
  • Maintain a professional and competent team of Flight Attendants
  • Ensure that a positive company image is promoted and maintained by Flight Attendants at all times
  • Develop and maintain Transport Canada approved Flight Attendant Training program, Flight Attendant manuals and CRM manuals
  • Conduct recruitment and make hiring decisions for Flight Attendant staff
  • Ensure compliance will all relevant regulations and issue necessary directives
  • Train and ensure continued training and competency for Flight Attendant staff
  • Action and distribute accident, incident, and other occurrence reports
  • Organize and maintain all Flight Attendant training records
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure availability of cabin safety cards in all aircraft
  • Schedule and submit payroll data for all Flight Attendants
  • Remain up-to-date on current industry trends and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Flight Attendant, including supervisory and training experience in the aviation industry
  • Previous experience as a Flight Attendant Manager is a very strong asset

  • Proven supervisory skills
  • Proven training skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of, and proficient in the applicant of, applicable Transport Canada regulations
  • Intermediate technical skills in Microsoft Office
