YVR is proud to be the provincial sponsor of the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, which has helped collect over 2,500 kg of waste on our neighboring Iona Beach. With help from the Sea Island community, and hundreds of volunteers, we will work together to clean up waste and debris from our shoreline in one of the largest direct action conservation programs in Canada!
Date: Sunday, September 18, 2016
Time: 10:00a.m. - 1:00p.m.
Location: Iona Beach Regional Park
Parking: Free parking at Templeton Canada Line Station as well as free shuttle service from the station to Iona Beach
Cleaning supplies and a complimentary lunch will be provided to all volunteers. This event is rain or shine so please dress accordingly. Let us know that you’ll be there on the Facebook Event Page.
