Advisor, Screening Contracts Budget 

About the job 
The Advisor, Screening Contracts Budget is responsible for the consolidation, preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial commitments related to payments to screening contractors. The incumbent works closely with the Manager, Screening Contracts to provide commitment analyses to senior management and CATSA regional teams. The Advisor, Screening Contracts performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

What you need to succeed 
To qualify for the position, you must have: 
  • Graduated from a recognized college or university with specialization in public administration, business, accounting or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position; 
  • A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation; 
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience creating and working within budgets, forecasts, and performing financial analysis; 
  • Experience conducting research and preparing recommendations for senior management; 
  • Experience writing and preparing reports, briefing notes and presentations. 
  • Language Profile: English Essential 
  • Knowledge in the application of the Financial Administration Act as well as Treasury Board policies and directives will be considered an asset. 
Skills and abilities 
  • Effective communication skills (both orally and in writing) and ability to liaise at various levels of management; 
  • Focused, meticulous and detail-oriented working methodology ensuring high quality of deliverables while possessing a strong sense of self-accountability; 
  • Ability to focus on continuous improvement activities and innovative problem solving; 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
