| Reports To: Supervisor, Load Control Competition No: 110-AP2016 Canadian North is looking for Hub Operations Customer Service Agents for our Edmonton Hub Operations location. This position is responsible for the weight and balance calculations for all scheduled flights in our network and for the operations functions of all scheduled and charter flights departing Edmonton. The customer service aspect of this position is internally focused and is predominantly by telephone or radio communication. Responsibilities: Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety Complete aircraft weight and balance calculations ensuring procedures meet safety regulations and guidelines as required Process and resolve operational problems as they arise Process critical operational information in a timely manner Transmit and input information in a variety of ways; air-to-ground radio, hand-held radio, email, phone, fax, Sabre, etc. Maintain accurate record keeping as required by various government agencies and Company policies Provide support and effective handover to the other Hub Airport Operation Customer Service Agents Ensure that all workplace issues, including barriers to high level customer service, are brought to the attention of the Supervisor Other duties as required. Qualifications: Strong mathematical aptitude and problem solving skills Knowledge of Sabre and Quickload is considered an asset Previous Hub Ops and Non-Hub Ops experience is considered an asset Minimum one year of operational experience in an airport and/or cargo environment Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills Ability to adapt to a changing environment and multi-task Ability to work flexible hours Ability to work independently and with limited supervision Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication Knowledge of WHIMIS and Dangerous Goods Transportation guidelines and procedures considered an asset A strong background in PC skills Clean criminal record Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with no stipulations Able to obtain Restricted Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate is required Successful completion of Canadian North Load Control Training is required Additional Information: Current Canadian North Customer Service Agents who have not been an active Hub Ops and/or Non-Hub Ops agent within the past twelve (12) months will be required to pass a pre-hire examination in order to qualify for the position, regardless of previous experience.
