Airports & Ancillary Products Specialist

Basic Purpose of Position: 

To provide direct support to Airports Management both operationally and contracts focused. The successful applicant should have analytical skills including working with MS Excel to provide solutions as well as proactively work towards targets and goals of the dept.

Key Activities: 
  • Coordinate and facilitate the daily eastern stations scrub call regarding flight delay information. 
  • Ensure all Area managers are providing delay coding info in a timely manner to finalize all delay coding on the call. 
  • Provide feedback to Area Managers on all delay recodes from the call. 
  • Review the morning clean report (delay report review) to ensure all changes have been completed from the previous day/s. 
  • Weekly:
    • Receive the CAN PAWOBs file from Air Canada, modify the file and send to all stations and upload the data into the application. 
    • Run an audit report in the PAWOB Application, for any outstanding files, pending acknowledgement. 
    • Create a stat report for managers (based on the outstanding files). 
    • Run a report of all changes and send to Air Canada. 
  • Send stations the Outstanding Monthly Report (PAWOB files that need updating). 
  • Monitor activity and follow up with stations and managers, when files are not closed as expected. 
  • Create and maintain the process document. 
  • Monitor and ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) target is met or exceeded and any variations tracked and corrective action taken. 
  • Track weekly performance and drive for improvement with support from each station. 
  • Input ADHOC Work Orders into the Daily Flight Record (DFR) for services provided to customers with whom we do not have a formal contract, detailing the services and equipment we have provided, ensuring rates are current and updated as required. 
  • Monitor and maintain all necessary reports and administer necessary follow-up with Ground Handlers/Managers. 
  • Create weekly statistics reports and review with Managers and ground handlers. 
  • Complete Authorization for Commitment (AFC’s) for new Airports contracts, work with Strategic Contracts Manager and Airports Financial Services manager to build a business case for each contract. 
  • Provide support to the GM Customer Service Eastern, Manager Airports Handling Contracts and Director as needed This requires advanced knowledge in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point and contract applications. 
  • Provide research and project assistance when further information and assistance is required. 
  • Provide weekly statistical reports to the Area Managers and General Manager. 
  • Set up conference calls and meetings as required and take accurate notes and minutes. 
  • Record minutes during meetings ensuring action items are followed up. Distribute the minutes as required. 
  • Coordinate with Jazznet Airports Facilitator, to keep information current and ensure links and/or documents are accurate. 
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.

Qualifications: 
  • Previous Airline work experience is required.
  • Experience in contracts and or contract administration is an asset.
  • Database management skills are an asset.
  • Six Sigma training is an asset.
  • Advanced Computer Skills (MS Office-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Superior Communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be able to work weekends/holidays as required.
  • Must be able to travel as required.
