Regional Manager of Airport Services
NewLeaf Travel Company Inc. - Hamilton, ON
The Manager of Airport Services helps coordinate the day-to-day operations to meet NewLeaf Travel Company’s high level of performance, safety, and customer service. The Manager of Airport Services reports to the Director of Airport Services and works closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager. This position is based in Hamilton, ON and will oversee operations for this territory.

Responsibilities
  • Guarantees outstanding operational performance through effective cross functional leadership during day to day operations.
  • Ensures exceptional service provided from contractual partnerships. (i.e. catering, ground crew, etc.)
  • Manages the daily operations and acts as a liaison between airport service providers, authorities, and senior management.
  • Drives financial success to produce a high quality, cost effective business unit through sound and innovative financial oversight and management.
  • Cultivates a team based work environment offering development opportunities for team members through the creation of performance expectations, mentoring, and conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Encourages team member cooperation and leads by example.
  • Builds effective leadership and support teams by assembling an exceptional team of employees, targeting and selecting highly motivated individuals who will produce industry leading performance and customer service.
  • Reports stations KPI information to Director of Airport Services.
  • Manages and monitors budgets and spending, reviewing work schedules and looking for and recommending innovative ways to reduce cost and improve efficiencies.
  • Manages complex projects while still managing day to day productivity.
  • Accurately scopes out tasks and projects, sets goals, breaks down work into process steps, develops schedules and efficiently assigns resources. Uses resources effectively to obtain optimal results.
  • Looks for innovative ways to improve systems, makes adjustments as needed, and measures results.
  • Helps develop effective processes, procedures, and practices that eliminate complexity and streamline execution.
  • Maintains effective relationships with vendors and internal customers.
  • Establishes contingency plans.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • 5 years of airline supervisory or management experience required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and required airport and/or Customs identification, seals, and authorizations.
Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully meeting and exceeding goals
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience in using logic, data, and accurate analysis to solve problems
  • Ability to assess priorities and problem solve under pressure of competing demands
  • Able to provide efficient, cost effective solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High tolerance to ambiguity
