Business Development Coordinator

This dynamic sales professional achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within their assigned territory by effectively selling Charter airline and aviation services.  This position will be responsible for contacting existing clients and securing new business accounts/customers across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.  They are results oriented and can work independently and as part of a coordinated Business Development team.

  • Participates in trade shows;
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints;
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing and sales management, accounting, and operational areas of the company;
  • Analyzes the territory/markets’ potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers to the organization;
  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective clients in their assigned territory to generate business for the company’s products and services;
  • Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential;
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, market conditions, and potential for new products and services;
  • Supports the marketing of the company with direct coordination and administration of company materials such as brochures, pamphlets, design, sourcing and purchasing of company merchandise;
  • Keeps abreast of company products and services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and operational areas of the company;
  • Be familiar with Aboriginal relations;
  • Be able to liaise with operations and other internal stakeholders; and, 
  • Perform any other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Knowledge of commercial aviation is an asset;
  • Proficiency in market analysis;
  • Solid oral and written communications skills;
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently;
  • High degree of professionalism;
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
