Air North has scheduled service between Whitehorse, Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Yellowknife and Victoria (starting May 2018).
Duties include, but are not limited to: loading and unloading cargo and baggage on and off the aircraft, operating and positioning all airside equipment, performing basic baggage checks, marshalling the aircraft in and out of the ramp safely and efficiently, understanding and communicating pit loading counts, procedures with flight crews and ground support, servicing aircraft lavatories and water. Maintaining on-going communication with the Lead and/or Supervisor; and supporting and representing company policies at all times, including adhering to uniform and personal protective equipment policies.

Qualifications/Conditions of Employment:
  • Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous airline experience considered an asset
  • MUST pass a pre-employment security/background check and able to obtain and retain an Transport Canada Airport Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
  • MUST obtain and retain an AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operations Permit) license within three months
  • Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Must successfully complete an initial training program
  • Must be physically fit (able to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop and climb repetitively)
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds repetitively
