OUR COMMERCIAL & RETAIL DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Our dynamic Commercial & Retail Development team is responsible for the leasing of all space within the airport terminal building. They manage the day to day operations of YYC retailers, as well as collaborate with other departments to promote retailers. The team is always on the go, and works very closely with other departments within the organization to improve the customer experience. This team proves time and time again how hard work pays off, and like the rest of our people, they know how to have fun!

WHAT YOU WILL DO
As part of the Commercial & Retail Development team you will work closely with the entire team, becoming exposed to the retail and concession industry. Assist in developing cross-selling initiatives, Omni- channel retail marketing and improving the airport’s portfolio mix. In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with a variety of different stake holders within an airport environment and create meaningful connections.


Reporting to the Coordinator, Commercial & Retail Development some of your key responsibilities will be:

• Qualitative and quantitative market survey for retail opportunities in the Domestic Terminal Building
• Audit the hours of operation of airport concessionaire tenants
• Perform weekly currency check audits on airport concessionaire tenants to ensure congruency within the airport
• Assist with tenant promotion preparation
• Assist with administrative tasks and other projects as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING
• Highly enthusiastic individual that has the ability to take initiative and effectively collaborate with multiple partners
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills demonstrated through an ability to professionally interact with others
• Ability to stay organized while balancing multiple priorities
• Ability to ensure high quality results and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Outlook
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Note: Students must be returning to school (post-secondary or high school) in the fall to qualify for this position.
