Basic Purpose of position:
To assist and support the line operations while contributing to On Time Performance (OTP) and a safe operation. Provide and coordinate regional support to the Chief Pilots Line Operations (CPLOs). Liaise with other departments and outside parties.
Key Activities:
- Review and compile Flight Operations daily/weekly delay coding data.
- Coordinate and attend Flight Operations daily operations meetings.
- Liaise with various departments on behalf of Flight Operations.
- Oversee daily operations.
- Provide support and feedback to the pilot group.
- Assist Chief Pilots Line Operations (CPLO) with coordination of leaves and return to work processing.
- Assist Chief Pilots Line Operations to confirm compliance with company policies, procedures and standards.
- Other duties as designated by CPLOs
- Participate in daily operations calls and report on any information required from follow up and investigations.
- Process & analyze Business Intelligence Reports
- Coordinate with CPLOs operational programs such as head start audits and OTP improvements.
- Provide data and analysis on day to day issues, including OTP, reviews and follow ups.
- As designated by CPLO Liaise with Jazz/Air Canada Airports groups to ensure operational integrity.
- Liaise with local authorities on issues as designated by Chief Pilots Line Operations.
- Communicate regularly with departmental managers and supervisors.
- Participate in committees and working groups to support the operation.
- Participate on local Occupational Safety and Health committees.
- Liaise with Safety Quality and Environment (SQE) on related occurrences.
- Conducts follow-up on Flight Operations safety reports, questions, and concerns in a timely manner.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Advanced skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Professionalism and ability to deal with highly sensitive information.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS) and regulatory programs is preferred.
- Experience using software systems: Etrip, Rainmaker, Jazznet, Q-Pulse, CrewTrac, etc… is an asset.
- Either Holds or has held a Pilot License is an asset.
- Aviation management Diploma/Degree or experience is an asset.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required for this position if based in the province of Quebec.
