Airport Runway Quality Assurance Representative (QAR)

Requirements
- The Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) must be familiar with Construction Quality Management (CQM) and be able to conduct Quality Assurance through the implementation of three phase control system, i.e., preparatory phase, initial phase and follow up phase.
- QAR should possess, at least, a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or applicable field related to runway PCCP projects.
- 10 years of experience with Airfield Runway PCCP project is required including 3 years Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) airfield pavements.
- The candidate MUST have clear background (no criminal records).
- Canadians, Americans, or Jordanians only. Dual citizen such as Canadian-Jordanian or American-Jordanian is preferred.
- Certified by ACI as a Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I. (Preferred)
- Willing to work in Jordan for 1 year +.
Project Location : Amman, Jordan
Duties
- Review and comment upon proposed construction or service performance techniques, procedures, and methods.
- Conduct the full range of quality assurance inspections and testing
- Monitor construction contractors’ or service providers’ procedures for the identification, classification, tracking, resolution and disseminating of information pertaining to construction and performance deficiencies.
- Assist or represent the Client at preparatory inspections held prior to the commencement of the work
- Perform review of construction contractors’ or service providers’ daily QC and safety reports to assure that the QC operations are adequately documented, and that work is being performed in a safe manner and provide findings to the Client for appropriate action.
- Monitor the preparation of as-built documents by contractors to ensure that those documents are being prepared on an on-going basis and report findings to the Client.
- Maintain master sets of drawings and specifications for the use by Client personnel in the performance of quality assurance, technical services and contract administration activities.
- Monitor, evaluate and make recommendations to the Client concerning deficiency clearance activities performed by construction contractors and service providers.
