Interested in working as an integral component in the operations of a dynamic and fast paced helicopter company? 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Dispatcher position acts as the main contact for all aspects of our operations, including logistics, calls, scheduling, visitors and inquiries. As this position is the first point of contact for incoming calls and visitors, strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

This role provides Dispatcher duties for the office including flight following as well as general clerical duties, including typing, filing, faxing, photocopying, and other duties as assigned. 



Duties/Accountabilities 
1. Performs reception duties for the Lakelse office, including receiving and directing visitors, answering the telephone, taking and relaying messages, providing information on services and forwarding calls. 
2. Performs various clerical duties, including typing, copying, filing, faxing, coordinating couriers, and opening, sorting and distributing mail. 
3. Compiles and prepares a variety of information for meetings, and attends as required. 4. Accesses databases and inputs information utilized for statistics and other information. 5. Flight following - the monitoring of a flight’s progress and the notification of appropriate air operator and search and rescue authorities if the flight is overdue or missing. 
6. Administrative duties – building quotes, billing preparation, crew flight and duty tracking, maintaining information in the company operations web-based system. 
7. Scheduling of aircraft and crew – this includes arranging employee airfare and accommodations. 
8. Performs other related duties as assigned. 
9. Close interaction and working relationship with all employees and department managers. 

Qualifications: 
1-3 years’ experience in a professional support role and working with the public. 
Past experience in the aviation industry would be an asset but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to deal with multiple tasks and deliver required results on deadline without close or constant supervision. 
Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment independently. 
Excellent written, oral communication and telephone skills. 
Demonstrated ability to deal with others in a tactful and respectful manner. Demonstrated ability and willing desire to exceed expectations. 
Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to use related equipment including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications. 
Willing to be flexible with work hours when required including rotational shifts. 
Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
