99s Amelia Earhart Memorial
Scholarship Fund Scholarships.
The Ninety-Nines Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund (AEMSF) is a
trust fund of over $5.5 million that provides significant scholarship aid to
women pilots and student pilots. The AEMSF has awarded over 850
scholarships providing over $11 million in scholarship aid, helping hundreds of
women achieve their aviation dreams.
Entering students may be particularly
interested in applying for AEMSF Fly-Now Awards of up to $6,000 toward
an initial pilot rating for women who are learning to fly. Since October
2014 AEMSF awarded over $450,000 in semiannual Fly Now Awards to 123
recipients.
Applicants will need to join the 99s as a student member by
August 15, 2018 and submit their application for the Fall Fly Now Awards by
September 15, 2018. The applications for Fly Now Awards are available at www.99sScholarships.com.
In addition to the Fly Now Scholarships, the
AEMSF also offers scholarships
to complete an additional pilot certificate or rating or pilot training course,
including instrument, multi-engine, commercial, ATP, flight instructor,
emergency maneuver training and all kinds of type ratings, including jet type
ratings. What is unique about these scholarships is that they cover the
full cost of the training. Most of the scholarships in this group require
prior membership in the 99s. The Fund also offers scholarships for
college students majoring in aviation-related fields.
Additional
information about scholarships offered by the AEMSF can be found at www.99sScholarships.com.
