Flight Attendant - Central Mountain Air

 At Central Mountain Air, our Flight Attendants are key members of our flight crew, with a focus on safety, security and service. We operate regional and charter flights throughout Western Canada, and are seeking team members for our Vancouver base.

Core Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; post-secondary education is an asset
  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • The ability to communicate with an advanced level of written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset
  • Proficient computer skills

Skills Required:

  • Previous Dash 8 aircraft experience an asset
  • Confident communicator with great interpersonal skills
  • Provide consistent levels of superior customer service and satisfaction by anticipating customer needs and exceeding expectations in the provision of service
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Able to work to tight time constraints, under pressure, and in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficient at working from memory
  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces for long periods of time

Conditions of Employment Include:

  • Must hold a valid Canadian Passport; or a valid Canadian Permanent Resident card
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Airport Identification Card (RAIC)
  • A clear criminal background check and the ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Must successfully complete a 3-week full-time initial training program away from base, as well as annual training and any other training deemed necessary by the Company
  • Must be flexible to work any shift, including on call (reserve) shifts that are assigned including evenings and weekends – we operate seven days a week, all year long, and overnight trips are to be expected
  • Must be able to adhere to strict uniform standards

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety, security and comfort of all passengers; which includes enforcing and following all standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with Central Mountain Air and regulatory requirements
  • Represent Central Mountain Air with a high level of professionalism at all times while on duty
  • Must be able to solve problems and make quick decisions
  • Operate safety and emergency equipment such as oxygen systems, aircraft doors, fire extinguishers, galley equipment, communication equipment, and lighting systems
