New Posting - Calgary International Airport

The Calgary International Airport is currently recruiting a Manager, Air Service Development, Cargo. Reporting to the Director, Air Service Development, the overall responsibility of this position is to provide business analysis to support the Airport Authority’s cargo air service development strategy. The position is responsible for the following primary duties:

1. Focuses on business attraction and retention of cargo airlines; identifies and pursues cargo development opportunities consistent with the Authority’s Strategic plan.
2. Supports and expands the YYC air service network by connecting with industry; strives to recognize the city and province’s future air service direction and needs by listening, learning and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including those from tourism, businesses in our province, cargo and logistics providers, etc.
3. Responds to all requests from stakeholders in a professional and timely manner; requests may range from a need for basic information, data analysis or providing cargo operational assistance on airside (outside).
4. Acts as a conduit between external clients and internal departments to ensure that operational and infrastructure needs are in place to provide the best possible work platform.
5. Keeps abreast of the local and global cargo trends that will impact the competitiveness and success of the cargo development program at the airport; understands economic indicators affecting Calgary and its competitive position in relation to other airports.
6. Analyzes information from media, industry and external publications; communicates findings succinctly to assist in building effective action plans.
7. Displays a superior ability to research, analyze data and assess information in order to promote the Calgary International Airport as a preferred location for cargo airlines.
8. Builds and maintains a solid library of information, collateral and data to quickly respond to customers and stakeholders.
9. Develops and presents business cases that leverage our local strengths and communicates Authority goals and future plans for cargo.
10. Demonstrates an ability to learn and understand all government regulatory factors that that influence air service development.

Basic Requirements

•Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, or related discipline with a strong emphasis on analysis, research and knowledge of global economic conditions •Exceptional communication, reporting and presentation skills, both written and verbal •Flexibility and personality to interact with all stakeholders and customers, ranging from operational staff to data analysts to business leaders in Calgary or the aviation industry •Strong knowledge of other Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Power Point) •Flexibility to travel frequently •Required to adjust work schedule to incorporate duties, many of which fall outside of regular work hours •Ability to work well in both a team and individual environment •Required to obtain a AVOP - DA (Driver Apron) license Additional Requirements
•Strong technical and operational knowledge of the airport industry, including aviation terminology, aircraft performance, range and capacity, aircraft scheduling, and security protocols •Additional foreign language and cultural knowledge skills would be considered an asset How To Apply:
