AVFO Class 11 at TSB

Bill Yearwood (TSB) with visitors from AVFO Class 11
On Wednesday October 23, students from Airline and Flight Operations Class 11 had the opportunity to visit the Transportation Safety Board (TSB), and meet with Bill Yearwood, the Pacific Region Manager and a seasoned helicopter and fixed wing pilot, to learn first hand the benefits of maintaining sharp safety awareness.

Bill walked through students through some real-life examples that drove home the potential results of poor safety habits and inattention.  At the same time, he highlighted benefits of the safety education these students receive through their training at BCIT and the Pacific Flying Club. This experience, coordinated by Instructor Reana Selody Joubert, helps students to solidify their commitment to flying safely.
