Airport Operations Class 15 at BCAC Workshop |
Highlights of the workshop included speakers such as Mark Duncan (Chair of BCAC), and a Transport Canada update from Trevor Heryet (Regional Director Civil Aviation). A panel including Shawn Sutherland (EBA), Jim Meyer (YMM/SNC Lavalin) and Mark Ritchie (Yukon Territory) discussed Infrastructure development since airport devolution.
The key note luncheon speaker J. Dawes talked about The Pacific Gateway and the Province’s Aviation Strategy, which was followed up with an afternoon panel who discussed where airport infrastructure is going. The afternoon panel included Jay Teichroeb (City of Abbotsford), Terry Stewart (Victoria International Airport), Doug Ewing (Vice President of Projects, Partnerships BC) and Ken Glaze (Vice President, Business Development, Helijet).
The workshop closed with some final remarks and observations from Rob Beynon (Vice President, Planning & Development Economics, InterVISTAS Consulting Group).
