The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a regular full-time Airport Manager to join our team of professionals in the Corporate Administration Division.

Reporting to the Municipal Administrator and the General Manager of Engineering, you will be responsible in this exempt position for the overall operations management of the Langley Regional Airport and be accountable for results, outcome, and regulatory compliance. The position has overall responsibility for the fiscal viability of a public sector commercial operation where revenues generated must meet operating costs. This must be undertaken through the effective management of resources and capital assets in providing high quality airport services in a safe and cost effective manner that is in compliance with federal and provincial regulations as well as municipal bylaws and policies.


A post-secondary education supplemented by airport management training with emphasis on airport safety management systems, emergency preparedness and incident/accident preliminary investigations, operational site management, airport contract and infrastructure management, and marketing will be necessary in this role.
A strong background in aviation operations and a current pilot licence is mandatory as well as a previously held valid Air Transport Pilot Licence.
A minimum of 7 years in an airport senior level management role is required. Candidates must be highly knowledgeable in NavCanada and Transport Canada regulatory procedures and practices and possess a strong record of successful aviation industry marketing.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential in this role.
Extensive computer familiarity is required with proficiency in visual presentations, word processing, and spreadsheets.
A valid BC Class 5 (full-privilege) driver’s license is required.
