Canadian North is currently recruiting a Manager, Airports Standards located in Edmonton, AB or Calgary, AB.
Competition No: MAS12, Reporting directly to the Director, Airports and Operational Performance, and indirectly to the Director, Flight Operations, the Manager, Airports Standards, is responsible for the regulatory compliance of all Airports procedures and associated documentation.
Responsibilities:
Ensure Airport standards are compliant with applicable regulations, legislation and industry best practices
Ensure Airport operational practices are compliant with documented Airport standards (quality assurance)
Lead the Coordinator, Airports Standards
Assist Director, Airports with SMS report investigation and corrective action plans
Responsible to the Director, Flight Operations, to ensure compliance of company Ground Icing Operations Program with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Maintain and implement customer service and ground operations procedures
Liaise with Airport Customer Service Managers in order to ensure accountability regarding compliance with SOPs
Amendment responsibility for Ramp Services Manual and Customer Service Manual
Conduct monthly Airports Amendment Status Review per company SMS Manual
Coordinate with Charters team to ensure operational practices at charter stations are in compliance with documented company procedures
Maintain Potable Water Management Plan
Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum one year of operational experience in an airport environment
Demonstrated ability to create structured and concise documentation
Demonstrated knowledge of technical writing best practices
Excellent leadership and effective interpersonal skills in dealing with customers, the public, company management, employees and third party contract management
Ramp, Customer Service and/or Operations experience considered an asset
A strong background in PC skills and clear understanding of Sabre functions and all facets of operational handling
Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions
Demonstrated ability to multitask and possess good time management skills
Strong ability to determine performance goals and ability to hold others accountable
Ability to travel and work flexible hours
Knowledge of Canadian North's automated Weight and Balance program is a definite asset
Knowledge of Canadian North's manual Weight and Balance process is a definite asset
