Canadian North is currently recruiting a Manager, Airports Training located in Edmonton, AB, and reporting to the Director, Airports & Operational Performance
General:
Reporting directly to the Director, Airports and Operational Performance, the Manager, Airports Training, is responsible for the development and delivery of training curriculums, and the record keeping of required and completed training for all Airports teams.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and continuously improve the customer service and ground operations training curriculum
Through coordination with the Manager, Airport Standards, ensure training programs comply with all regulatory requirements
Lead the customer service and ground operations training staff
Oversight of the internal trainer auditing program
Responsible for content of all Customer Service and Ground Operations online training in Aerostudies program
Responsible for overall coordination and facilitation of all customer service and ground operations training courses
Oversight of weight & balance / load control programs
Amendment Responsibility for the Weight & Balance Manual
Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum one year of operational experience in an airport environment
Demonstrated ability to create and deliver structured and effective training curriculums
Demonstrated knowledge of online learning systems
Excellent leadership and effective interpersonal skills in dealing with company management, employees and third party contract management.
Knowledge of the Automated Weight & Balance Program is essential
Ramp, Customer Service and/or Operations experience considered an asset
A strong background in PC skills and clear understanding of Sabre functions and all facets of operational handling
Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions
Demonstrated ability to multitask and possess good time management skills
Strong ability to determine performance goals and ability to hold others accountable
Ability to travel and work flexible hours
