Mustang Helicopters is currently recruiting two people for a five month contract position of Air Operations Coordinator for a project in Northern BC beginning May 01, 2013. The Air Operations Coordinators
will be responsible for all air logistics and planing for a remote mine site in
northern BC. The crew rotation will be 17 days on 11 days off, which may vary
depending on weather.
Responsibilities include helicopter coordination for:
- Crew rotations including gear (80 to 100 person camp)- camp support including food and fuel
- all construction related materials for mining project
The goal is to have all departments turn in a plan a week in advance then
coordinate the safest most cost effective way to move things 60 kms into the
site
This is true bush living in a very remote area. 2 aircraft flying 4 to 10
hrs per day and every aspect must be documented. Days can be very long. The job
description is difficult to put in writing but it is an amazing adventure in
some of the most beautiful mountains and glaciers in the world.
