Bailey Helicopters is currently recruiting a Manager, Operations, Fort St. John, British Columbia
Bailey Helicopter Ltd. (“Bailey”) is a private Company providing charter helicopter services throughout Northern British Columbia and Northwestern Alberta. Bailey has a strong reputation for safety and customer service and has been in business for nearly 25 years. Bailey operates a diverse fleet of 24 helicopters including R44, Bell 206, AS 350 and Bell 212. Current operating bases include Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Fort Nelson, British Columbia.
We are looking for an experienced, team orientated individual to join the Bailey team as Manager, Operations. This is a full time permanent position, based in Fort St. John, British Columiba with a comprehensive benefit package and competitive wages.
Responsibilities:
Control of operations and operational standards of all helicopter operated
Identification of operations coordination functions which impact on operational control
Supervision, organization, hiring, disciplining, manning and efficiency of flight operations, cabin safety, crew scheduling, training programs and flight safety program
Maintain the contents of the Company Operations Manual
Supervision of and the production and amendment of the Company’s Operations Manual
Liaison with the regulatory authorities on all matters concerning flight operations, including any variations to the Company’s Air Operator Certificate
Ensure that all customer contract standards are documented and complied with at all times
Liaison with any external agencies that may affect Company operations
Ensure the Company’s operations are conducted in accordance with current regulations, standards and company policies
Ensure the crew scheduling complies with flight and duty time regulations, and that all crew members are kept informed of any changes to the regulations and standards
Receipt and actioning of any aeronautical information affecting the safety of flights
Dissemination of helicopter safety information, both internal and external, in conjunction with the flight safety program
Qualifications of flight and cabin crew
Maintenance of a current operations library
Strong knowledge of the CARS
Coaches, mentors, counsels and trains employees to enhance performance
Actively supports the company Safety Management System by participating in the program
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Degree in Business Administration or equivalent aviation experience and education
Must have a minimum of 3 years or more previous aviation management experience with a Commercial airline operator
Must meet Transport Canada’s requirements for Operations Manager
Must have excellent team leadership, management, communication and organizational skills
