The GTAA is currently recruiting a Coordinator, First Impressions - (13-FIN-003)    
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
• Accesses control to all those who enter the GTAA Administration Building through the main entrance reception area in accordance with the Security Post Order.
• Assists with public inquiries (in person).
• Processes all incoming telephone calls through the (main line) switchboard.
• Maintains and updates the visitor information database using software.
• Maintains the internal GTAA i-Directory, boardroom scheduling and acceptances, receipt and issuance of documents at front desk, as well as the central depository for outgoing envelopes and packages.
• Accepts tender packages in the absence of Procurement Services staff.
• Reports, monitors and follows-up on console related issues.
• Assists in the GTAA Evacuation Plan.
• Maintains the Lost and Found for the GTAA Administration building.
• Sorts pay cheque stubs for distribution.
• Monitors and prepares statistics for benchmarking purposes.
• Provides other related duties as required.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• Must possess a Secondary School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Receptionist or in dealing with the public in a fast paced multi-tasked environment.
• Bilingualism in French is an asset.
• Experience with NT Meridan 2250 console is considered an asset.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) at an intermediate level, with high proficiency in Microsoft Outlook as a must.
• Must be able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must have knowledge of reception procedures and ability to enforce access control for all those who enter the GTAA Administration building through the main entrance.
• Must be able to deal with staff’s reaction when asked to show their pass, to listen and defuse upset/difficult callers and visitors/staff regarding AVOP infractions or other issues.
• Must be pleasant and remain calm under pressure while handling multiple priorities.
• Independent use of analytical skills for developing and maintaining statistics for benchmarking purposes is an asset.
• Knowledge of visitor registration database software and GTAA staff and contractors would be an asset.
• Knowledge of the GTAA organization and layout of the airport would be considered an asset.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
