Specialist, Security Management Systems (SeMS) & Audit - (13-GLCS-001)
Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Security Regulations and Policy within the Governance, Legal and Corporate Secretary Department, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining the SeMS program and underlying processes and activities; delivering SeMS training and presentations; assisting in security assessments and audits. The incumbent will also be responsible for participating in the GTAA audit community, supporting the development of ISMS standard operating procedures including developing processes to track and report on the status of corrective action plans in all GTAA departments with security related activities, promoting and supporting quality management within Safety and Security in addition to other duties as assigned.

Job Description
Accountabilities:
·    Monitor reports of incidents and proactive concerns for security issues
·    Evaluate issues according to risk assessment framework and initiates concern review processes appropriately
·    Maintaining a document control system to update current GTAA Security procedural documentation and integrate with SeMS
·    Delivering SeMS-related training to GTAA employees and updating training material
·    Supporting the development of SeMS-compliant standard operating procedures and business practices in all GTAA departments.
·    Supporting the development of QA-compliant standard operating procedures and business practices in GTAA Operations
·    Conducting threat assessments, monitoring and auditing activities for GTAA SeMS and GTAA Operations QMS initiatives
·    Developing recommendations for the development/amendment of operations processes and procedures, business continuity and contingency plans.
·    Updating security-related procedures.
·    Supporting the application of SeMS and QA processes in business continuity and contingency planning.
·    Resolving routine day-to-day operational issues with tenants, air carriers, contractors in cases of non-compliance to security operating procedures.
·    Monitors trends in security issues
·    Undertakes Audit/QA security activities, refines audit / QA processes
·    Evaluate events against regulatory requirements to identify gaps in processes or challenges associated with regulations
·    Supports front line managers and staff in understanding and following SeMS processes
·    Escalates issues to senior management appropriately based on risk
·    Additional SeMS and QMS-related responsibilities as assigned by Safety & Security Management

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
·    Must possess a post-secondary diploma/degree or equivalent in education, training and experience
·    Experience in training and auditing
·    Valid “G” Ontario Driver’s license preferred
·    Minimum 4 years of experience in aviation industry (with safety and/or security responsibilities)
·    Must have a fully satisfactory work performance in his/her current position and a work record that is void of discipline and unacceptable attendance that would have a bearing on the duties, roles and responsibilities of the posted position
·    Must be able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
·    Demonstrate understanding and application of audit programs and theory
·    Demonstrated knowledge of airport operations, airport security principles, regulations, standards, practices and processes
·    Demonstrated knowledge of information and data management practices
·    Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Aviation Security Regulations and Measures and ability to interpret both
·    Excellent computer skills - proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and data management systems
·    Demonstrated understanding of management system theory and practice
·    Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of incident and event recording applications
·    Demonstrated experience in data analytics including data collection, analysis, and reporting
·    Ability to effectively communicate (oral, written, and electronic)
