JOB TITLE: Operations & Customer Experience – Summer Student DURATION: Summer Employment, Until August 29, 2014 REPORTS TO: Manager, Customer Experience SALARY: $14.00 plus 4% vacation pay CLOSING DATE: April 14th, 2014
Duties:
Under the direction of the Manager, of Customer Experience and working alongside WAA staff and management, the student will work in the Operations and Customer Experience department with the following responsibilities:
- Assisting with daily activities related to operations, regulations, and standards at an International Air Terminal Building
- Assisting in the administration of facility improvement projects
- Assisting with research projects, subcontractor audits, and preparation of briefings and reports
- Assisting in the administration of the parking and ground transportation operations
- Assisting in the administration and maintenance of manuals and operational plans related to the day-to-day operations of the airport
Education:
Enrolled full time in a secondary, post-secondary, or aviation training program recognized by Transport Canada or the US Federal Aviation Administration, and returning to school in the fall.
Requirements:
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Able to work independently and prioritize workload to meet multiple deadlines
- Must be capable of organizing and scheduling; attention to detail is very important
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- Background in aviation, communications, public relations, project management or business administration considered an asset
- Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset
Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card is a condition of employment.
